Beer Battered Greek Style Fish Sandwich

: Experience a Mediterranean twist on a classic favorite with our Greek-Inspired Beer-Battered Cape Hake Sandwich. Nestled in a soft, crusty ciabatta bun, our golden beer-battered Cape hake is paired with refreshing cucumber ribbons, grilled red onions, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomato slices.

Ingredients
Preparation

Main Ingredients:

  • 6 ea Cape Hake Beer Battered Portion
  • 6 ea Ciabatta Bun
  • 1 ea Red Onion sliced in rings
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 1 ea Boston Bibb Lettuce
  • 2 ea Beefsteak Tomato sliced
  • 1 ea Cucumber sliced into ribbons

Tzatziki Sauce

  • 1 ea Cucumber, grated
  • 16 oz Greek Yogurt plain
  • 3 ea Garlic, Clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp Dill, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Lemon, juice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  1. Tzatziki Sauce: Add the grated cucumber and about 1/4 teaspoon salt to a towel and combine. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Squeeze out the extra moisture with cheesecloth (preferred) or a few sheets of paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, combine the prepared grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Adjust to taste as needed. Chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before using.
  3. Cook & Preparing Sandwich: Prepare the Hake according to the package instructions. Spread the olive oil on the red onion and lightly char on a preheated grill. If desired, lightly toast the ciabatta bun on the grill as well.
  4. Build the sandwich. Beginning with the bottom bun spread tzatziki sauce, bibb lettuce, tomato, cucumber ribbons, beer battered hake, onion slices, more tzatziki sauce and top bun. Enjoy with your favorite side
